No its not. The control panel is not back lit. The picture of the microwave is pictured in the add as showing the buttons and numbers. But when plug in the only thing you can only see is the clock. Even when the overhead kitchen light is on i have to strain to see the numbers. Sad but the unit has to go back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not light up at night other than the time, so no... it is not easy to read at night
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The numbers and start button are very dark gray on black. I keep a flashlight next to it to read the panal even in daylight. It also glares from reflections. So if you have any windows in your kitchen, it's a real problems too. One lady said she marked the panal with a silver sharpy. I thought that sounded stupid. But me looking for a flashlight for 5 min. to warm up some thing for 30 sec, doesn't sound any better. Oh, the nubers are NOT bold, as suggested. If #1 was Black, and #10 was readable Gray, I'd say the the panal was about a #3. I actually do like the microway. I just need a lit miners hat to use it.. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The control panel is dark and is not back lit. You will need some light to use it easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Bren-this is Sue from GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! While the control panel does feature bold white lettering, it does not feature backlit controls. Kitchen lighting is recommended. Thanks for checking with us!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I have to turn a light on over head to see the tabs. Only the clock is lit. The panel not being lit up is the only real disappointing thing about this microwave.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Clearly see from10'
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We bought this also and after bringing it home realized you cannot see the numbers at all. So frustrating! If you want a manual, there is none with the unit! Have to send away for it! Shame on GE!!
