“Will the timer work at the same time that food is heating? If so, does the timer need to be set first? Also, is it possible to "stage cook", ie program for one power level and then a second level?”

Hi gou1499 - The Kitchen Timer can be used while the microwave is operating. It can be set at anytime. Also, it does not offer stage cooking. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
