“I've bought a couple microwaves in which the stated depth would fit where I want to put it. However, the back of the oven actually protrudes out another 1-2 inches. Can someone tell me if that's the case with this one? A pic would be great.”

I am very satisfied with our GE 1.1 cu Microwave...it fits on my 24.25 + 32.25 counter top...it took a few days to figure out the panel...so far pretty nice...
