• I just got this model. Without the keypad lighting up, it's like using this appliance with one hand tied behind my back. Frustrating.

• No, the keypad does not light up. But the internal light goes on when you open the microwave door. After using the microwave for a couple weeks, I can say it’s a solid microwave.
