It has a broiler option so I suppose you could toast items but it would only be on one side, you'd have to flip it to toast the other side. Personally, it's more of an convection oven/broiler aside from it being a microwave. If you like toast, I'd suggest you buy a conventional toaster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Marijo- The convection microwave has a Broil mode that uses the upper heater elements to broil food similar to a conventional oven. It does not have a specific "toast" mode. It also offers Convection mode. A heating element is used to raise the temperature of the air inside the oven. Any oven temperature from 170°F to 425°F may be programmed. A fan gently circulates this heated air throughout the oven, over and around the food, producing golden brown exteriors and rich moist interiors. Also, Convection Roast offers the best features of microwave energy and convection cooking. Microwaves cook food fast and convection circulation of heated air browns foods beautifully. Any oven temperature from 170°F to 375°F may be set. Thanks for considering GE! SUE@GEA
