“Hi. Our new microwave makes a knocking noise when operating with the turntable rotating. . It is not loud and the oven works very well. Just checking to see if this is normal. Oven looks great with our other new GE black appliances. Thanks”

Mine does the same thing. It's the plate catching up with the spindle. Doesn't cause any issues

While the turntable is turning, it is normal for the tray to hesitate, jerk, drag, or pause. If you hear a knocking noise and it becomes louder, service is recommended.
