We can certainly understand your concern about a knocking noise and we are glad to assist. Please make sure the glass tray firmly sits on a plastic support ring. While the turntable is turning, it is normal for the tray to hesitate, jerk, drag, or pause. If you hear a knocking noise and it becomes louder, service is recommended. You can schedule an appointment online at: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm Or if you prefer to call, you can reach our scheduling department at 1-800-432-2737, Mon-Fri 7 am – 10 pm ET, Sat-Sun 8 am – 6 pm ET. We apologize for any inconvenience it has caused. Thanks for checking. Olga
