Hi Glenn- When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Keep in touch- SUE@GEA

The back-plate hanger clips on the existing model are about 1/4 inch off horizontally from the newer model so you will need to replace the hanger. Also be aware that the holes in the cabinet above the unit are a bit off too so you will need to drill a couple more holes - ugghhhh. I have no idea why they couldn't just match the older model's mount...
