I think the microwave purchase depends on your taste and usage.
We checked several stores before we purchased ours based on color, size and wattage.

Hello,
This is Lisa from GE. If you had an over the range microwave, any of our 30 inch wide over the range models will fit in the same space. There may be a slight difference in height and depth, but the width will fit. You will need to use the mounting plate that comes with the new model. Model JVM3160DFBB should work fine.
