“I am replacing a GE JVM1540DN1BB which vents through top cabinet and outside. I have 2 questions: 1. Is venting position in same place on these models so I can re-use existing duct work? 2. Are mount positions (top & rear) the same?”

Hi BH- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Yes, all over-the-range microwaves can be vented to the outside using rigid 3 1/4" x 10" rectangular or rigid 6" round ducting (a rectangular to round transition adapter must be used.) They are shipped from the factory to vent out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally). They can also be installed for Recirculating (non-vented). All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions.
