“On our new GE JVM3160RF2SS, the clock/timer display is extremely bright, brighter than I recall on the identical unit we replaced. Can this display brightness be adjusted somehow? If it's in the manual, I missed it!”

Same issue with me. Clock light is too bright. Almost hurts the eyes to look at it. Our previous same GE microwave was much more subdued and the light was a green. Softer green light. Possible solution might be to remove the control cover and insert a piece of transparent green film over the clock / control area. Dean Mountlake Terrace, WA

Please try again later.Just bought a new GE microwave 5/2024, display is still too bright. 4 years ago GE answered this question and said "The brightness level of the display is not adjustable. Your comments regarding the design are important to us for future planning. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com." Guess it takes more than 4 years for GE to address the display too bright issue.
