We would need both full model numbers in order to compare the microwaves – does your current microwave have a model number of JVM6175EKES? If so, we can advise these two microwaves are overall similar, though there is a slight difference in cubic feet, the control panels have different layouts, etc. If you’d like to review other possible differences, we do have a comparison tool on our GE website that you can use to compare the models. Regarding the dimensions, we can advise they are slightly different – your current microwave has dimensions of 16 5/16 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D, while JVM3160EFES has dimensions of 16 1/8 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D. If your space would allow for a slight height difference while still having enough room for the necessary air clearance, the microwave may fit; otherwise, some adjustment may be necessary if you want to use this particular model.
