Q: QuestionRegarding the included template for mounting the top two screws for under the cabinet...... do you need to cut-out the outer lines of the template so that the back "arrows" lines align with the back of the wall?

• A:Answer Yes, the template should be trimmed down according to the cabinet it is being installed on. The template states: 1. Fit template to bottom of upper cabinet. If cabinet bottom has a frame around it, measure frame thickness and trim along edges A, B, C, and D as needed to make up for frame thickness. Trim lines for ½”, ¾” or 1” frame thickness are on template.

• A:Answer We recommend trying out an electronic reset. This can be done by resetting power at the breaker for 2-3 minutes, then powering it back on. You can also hold down the "Cancel" button for 3 seconds to try disabling the control lock.

Q: QuestionCould I use an electical outlet that is underneath the cabinet to the right of this GE micrawave? I know it wouldn't look the nicest, but I already have an outlet located there. I do not have an outlet in the cabinet above where the microwave will be.

If the digital display isn't performing as normal, we recommend disconnecting the microwave from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve a temporary issue. • A:Answer The JVM3160RFSS does not offer a convection option. Normal bake or convection baking does not use microwaves. Convection baking is just using a fan to move heat around the oven cavity. -Don@GEAppliances

Q: QuestionDoes this require you to reset the time and date if the power goes out? I have an older GE microwave that does a hard reset if the power goes out, requiring re-programming. I don't need a date function on my microwave... Did they fix this?

• A:Answer Im sure it could be used as a countertop item. I dont recall the instructions having and specific issues. Its just designed and built with the bracketing pre installed. And then the individual installation location can dictate exhaust ventilation distribution. Being its designed for Over stove it pulls steam and vapors up theough unit and then blows them out where desired.
