how do you turn on the control panel light? null

I had been looking for the same thing when I bought it. As far as I can see and have read, there is no control panel light. Stupid

I wish i had noticed this before i purchased it. My much older one i replaced with this was backlit. So disappointed

Hi Les - Thanks for choosing GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven JVM3160RFSS. The control panel is not backlit. Microwave control panels are not generally backlit, which means that the lettering on the keypads do not have lighting behind them. The lettering cannot be changed or made brighter.
