Hello, and thanks for your interest in this over-the-range model! We certainly understand needing to replace a similar unit and are happy to help. We can advise all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and designed to fit a 30" wide cabinet opening. As a result, any of our 30" models will work great as a replacement for a former model of that width. Both these units have an exact width of 29 7/8". The full dimensions of the JVM3160RFSS are 16 1/8 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D. As long as the other dimensions work for you, we are confident this unit would be a great fit for your needs! Please note that the mounting bracket that comes with a new microwave should be used rather than an old one; unlike the width, the brackets are specific to each model and not interchangeable.
