“Most older recirculated air show a discharge vent across the front as on my GE. Microwave. I don't see that on the newer ones. Where is the air vented?”

• The microwave is shipped from the factory to vent out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally) or recirculating (non-vent).

• Hi - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! The vent is located on top, just above the door for an improved appearance. Also, the charcoal filter (recirculating) is located at the top behind the door. Take a look at the following video: https://youtu.be/l8Hierh0aLw - Keep in touch! Sue
