• Just installed new LG microwave over my range. The keypad DOES NOT light up. No backlighting making it impossible to use in dark kitchen. HECKY DERN!

• Hi Mustangsally - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE! Microwave control panels are not generally backlit, including JVM3160RFSS, which means that the lettering on the keypads do not have lighting behind them. If the actual control panel display (clock, time, etc.) is too dim (barely visible) or there are sections of the clock display that are missing, this would require service.
