• Thank you for asking a great question. The model beginning with JNM means it comes from factory as a non-vented or recirculating. the model that starts JVM means it comes from factory as vented model but you can change to recirculating when ready to install it. It is explained in the installs supplied. Hope this helps you out. Geoff@GEA

• I bought the JVM and it came with the options to recirculate/filter air out the front or back of the unit plus an adapter to connect to an outside vent. We've been very pleased with this microwave.
