QuestionCan we buy a microwave over the oven in white? We have a GE microwave that converts to an oven which is broken. We would be happy with a plain microwave if it would fit over the oven as our old microwave does. Our current microwave is 26 Inches wide.

If the microwave is converted to recirculating (ventless), the charcoal filter included (WB02X11550- $8.75 at GEApplianceparts.com) should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage). - Answer Should work fine. 13 to 16" is the standard, although at the lower range, (13 or 14) microwave vent may occasionally turn on by itself if it feels heat underneath becoming excessively high.
