- Answer Hi - GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven JVM3160RFSS does not have a reset filter option. The charcoal filter should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage). Some models with an Upfront Filter have a Reset Filter notification light on the control panel to indicate when it is time to change the filter. The Reset Filter reminder will light every 6 months. On these models, press and hold Reset Filter for 3 seconds. Keep in touch! Sue

Product Dimensions (WxHxD) (in.) 29 7/8 in x 16 1/2 in x 15 in). You can choose any model. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. QuestionFor this model (JVM3160RF), 1 answer indicated that "This models is factory assembled for recirculating so no conversion is required" while another answer showed "...over-the-range microwaves are shipped from the factory to vent out the top". Confused.

- Answer No , standard width (30)"..16.5 " depth ,all needed pieces are in the box . I believe it comes in white , stainless, black .

JVM6175DFBB has sensor cooking controls (Automatically adjusts time and power for delicious cooking results) and the same as GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM6175SKSS. QuestionHow high above the cooktop can it be installed? More than 18”? Also is a venting trim kit needed? I would rather not have one if not necessary

- Answer Mine is installed 23" above the stove top. The microwave works without a venting trim kit, however it has a fan/ventilation system built into it to help remove steam and cooking vapors from the stove top in the same way a hood/fan ventilation system does. Hope that helps. I would check about heat from the microwave itself, if it's a tight fit into the cabinets surrounding it.

QuestionI recently replaced my JVM1540SM3SS with a GE JVM3160RFSS. I noticed There is now white residue/film on cabinets above the microwave. Is it possible to redirect the air coming from top vent?

- Answer Hi VBrisc- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! We are not familiar with a white residue/film from the microwave vent. You will need to rotate the blower based on the type of venting (outdoors/or recirculating indoors). You should feel very little air from the vent when vented to the outside. If vented indoors (recirculating), you will feel more air flow from the top vent. The charcoal filter should be installed if recirculating to remove smoke and odors. QuestionIs there a fuse for the light in the section where the numbers light up and also the buttons don’t beep when they are pressed in the same section the microwave works fine just no lights or beep when pressing numbers

- Answer Hi Snake- The control panel is not backlit. This is normal and part of the design. If it does not beep when the programming, reset the electronics by unplugging or by turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. - Answer We had a Best Buy rep install our microwave. I am pretty sure the upper holes matched from our previous GE which we had for 17 years. However, the installer used the previous bolts as they were longer than the ones that came with the new microwave. Once again, I am sure Best Buy customer service can probably answer the question.
