We bought this to replace our old GE over the stove microwave and it fit perfectly. To be honest, when it first arrived, it looked much bigger but my husband had measured and said that it would fit perfectly. It did!

Model JVM6175DKBB (Dimensions: 16 5/16H x 29 7/8W x 15 9/16D) can be installed in the same space as your current model JVM1740DM1BB (Dimensions: 16 3/16H x 29 7/8W x 15 5/32D). When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. We're glad to have you in the family.
