Hi! Wonderful question. All microwaves have a window in the door that has a mesh screen inside of it. This screen helps keep the microwaves inside the cavity, and is a necessary part of the microwave. You may find that the screen makes it difficult to see your food as it is cooking. Although it is difficult to see detail, the window should allow you to see if there are any problems while cooking, like arcing, burning, boil-overs, etc. If you need to check on your food, opening the door will pause the microwave. Hope this helps! All the best. -Michael@GEA
