• Hi, Thanks for the question! We're glad you chose GE Appliances and we're happy to help. Before using your new unit we recommend making sure nothing is obstructing the front of the air conditioner. When the unit is blocked by curtains, blinds, or furniture, the air flow is restricted and cooling performance will be affected. For cooler temperatures, we recommend using the Cool Mode and place the fan on High or Med with a middle set temperature. If you prefer colder air choose Cool Mode with the fan on High and a lower set temperature. Hope this helps! -Sylvia@GEA
