Yes you can. We had a screw fall into the unit upon installing it and we unscrewed the unit to get it out. Put it back together with ease.

The best guidance we have on cleaning this air conditioner is to check and clean the air filter behind the front grille every 30 days (or more often, if necessary). The filter can be cleaned with warm, soapy water, then rinsed - and be sure to let the filter dry before replacing it. Additionally, the coils on the outdoor side of the air conditioner should be checked regularly. If they're clogged with dirt or soot, they may need to be professionally cleaned. The unit itself can be cleaned with water and a mild detergent, after it has been unplugged from the wall outlet. We do not recommend using bleach or abrasives to clean it. More information on the care and cleaning of this air conditioner can be found on page 8 of the owner's manual. We hope this is helpful! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. All the best, Kelsey@GEA
