- Answer Hello, thank you for your question. The water line for this refrigerator does not need to be installed if you do not want to use your ice maker. If you choose to do this, we recommend you disconnect power to the ice maker and ensure that it is shut off. We hope this helps! - Answer This lovely refrigerator offers a one-year limited warranty. The water filter offers a 30-day warranty. You can view the printed warranty statement on Page 21 of the online Owner's Manual. QuestionWhat is the procedure for cleaning the condensing coils, and is the back low access panel metal or press-board?

- Answer This model offers our Never Clean Condenser. The condenser coils ae part of the compressor housing an do not require cleaning. The lower back panel which would not need to be removed unless service was needed, doesn't appear to be made of metal.

QuestionCan you tell me how wide the gap is on the bottom of the freezer door shelves? We have an older GE and items fall through this gap.

- Answer The gaps in the freezer compartment wire shelf are just smaller than 3/4 inch.

- Answer Hi there, Buddyno5 - Great question! We're finding that this refrigerator is not garage ready. We do not recommend installing this refrigerator where the temperature will go below 55 degrees F or above 110 degrees F. We hope that this helps. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla

- Answer Hi Suzy - Thanks for choosing GE Model GIE18GSNRSS! Your food should not freeze in the refrigerator compartment when set on 5. In fact, at any setting, food in the refrigerator should not freeze. It is designed to maintain a refrigerator temperature which is generally 37F.
