Hi - This model is compatible with MWF (XWF on select models manufactured after June 2018). There is a replacement indicator light for the water filter cartridge. The filter cartridge should be replaced when the replacement indicator light turns red (6 months) or if the flow of water to the dispenser or icemaker decreases.
