Hi there and thanks for considering this great refrigerator. We don’t recommend leaving the unit out in a temperature so cold, plugged in or unplugged, as a part could freeze, or an issue could arise later when using it again. If we can assist with anything else, please let us know. -Gina@GEA

However I have friends that live in cold country (freezing temps) that have fridges in garage and they are fine all year. They don’t disconnect them. I think this is a manufacturer question. It’s a great fridge.
