A:AnswerHello Marek - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. We're very sorry to hear that your two month old microwave is not heating. This is not what we would expect to hear and we apologize for this inconvenience. Please contact our GE Factory Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance. Thanks for choosing GE Appliances!
A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for your interest in a new microwave! We understand how important fitting a new unit into your existing space is and would like to assist. The JES2051SNSS model is only built-in capable with certain trim kits and is primarily a countertop model; it would not be approved for use with your existing trim kit. The trim kits come in either a 27" or 30" option and are purchased separately. Using the trim kit that is compatible with the microwave is important for ventilation, so if you are wanting to use an existing trim kit for a newer model, this is only recommended if the two models are designed to already use the same trim kit. This information is available on our GE website if you search for the model number; the trim kit it's compatible with is listed under 'Specs & Details'. We would also recommend checking the cut-out opening your microwave is in, to make sure the dimensions for the new unit and trim kit will match. As your current microwave has a capacity of 2.2 cu. ft., you may want to try looking for one with a matching capacity if you want to match the trim kit. We hope this information is helpful, and are happy to assist further if you have other questions or concerns. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHello RARoss,
I purchased a new GE microwave to replace our old one that stopped working after more 20 years. I did want another GE because their appliances are of great quality so I decided to buy the new one where we bought the previous one, which was at BestBuy. Due to the COVID-19 crisis I could not personally go the store so I did it on BestBuy website and the microwave arrived in perfect conditions.
A:AnswerHi Joe - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding GE® 2.0 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JES2051SNSS. The part number for replacement Microwave Bulb (125V, 20W) is WB36X10303. For safety reasons, the interior lamp is not consumer replaceable. Therefore, replacement instructions are not provided in the manual. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Pambo - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your new GE Microwave JES2051SNSS. This is one of our most popular models and has not been described as having a "loud engine" sound while operating. When using a power level other than HIGH or 10, the magnetron tube cycles on and off to obtain the lower power. This cycling of the magnetron tube causes this dull thumping, pulsating, or humming noise. A fan where the internal components are located will run continuously while the microwave is in operation to constantly circulate the air to cool the working parts. It is normal for the internal fan for the electronics to continue to run for a few seconds after the microwave cycle is complete, even if the door is opened. This fan does not circulate air in the cavity. We suggest to make sure the microwave is level and has plenty of air space around the case: 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and
1" clearance in the rear. A:AnswerHi - We certainly appreciate your loyalty. Built-in trim kits are not interchangeable. A:AnswerWe took our old microwave out and I measured it. Researched which one was the closet in size. We used the old trim kit because we were very careful to remove it without hurting it. It worked for us! My old one was a jeb model but I am nit sure what the whole model number was.
A:AnswerHi Peanut- Yes, the interior of the microwave is curved at the back for easier cleaning.
