“How many inches of clearance is needed on the sides and above for this washer? And also the dryer that's compatible with this washer? Trying to build a counter around the washer to hide it, but I can't find the clearance on the spec sheet.”

Hello and thank you for reaching out about this excellent washer. We are happy to help. The clearances required can be found in the installation instructions. The sides and rear require 0" and the top requires 1" in clearance. Clearances for dryer GFD14ESSNWW are 0” either side, 1” front and rear, and 1” on top.
