“My GE front loading washer is LOCKED. How do I unlock it?”

• I have unplugged the ge steam washer dryer and the door is still locked- is there some way to manually unlock it?

• Hello Richard - Thank you for being part of the GE Appliances family. The washer door will lock when the unit is in use. To unlock the door, pause or stop the cycle and let the water drain. If the door stays locked, try disconnecting power to the unit for a few minutes. Also, make sure the pump filter is clean as this can also cause the door to remain locked.
