“Is the audible temperature alarm on the exterior of the freezer (so it can be heard)? Or is it inside the unit (less likely to be heard)?”

I have just had it for a few weeks but when I started it up in the garage, the alarm sound it made was audible from across the garage. Once it got down to the proper temp the alarm has not sounded. It does lock. Comes with two metal keys (metal better than plastic and 2 better than one). The shelves on the door are not as wide as the shelves on my last freezer (a Frigidaire) that I left behind when I moved. So far, so good.
