Q: QuestionCan the doors be switched to open the other direction?

• A:Answer According to the product description, under Specs, then Features, it says the door hinges ARE reversible. If it's anything like my old GE fridge from the mid-90s, it's not apparent by just looking at it, so maybe that's why the verified purchaser answered no. However, if the description is actually wrong, I'd like to know and/or I hope someone fixes it, because this feature is important to me. (FWIW, I have always been very happy with my old GE, it's never needed any repairs, and it still keeps my food as fresh as it ever did, but it may finally be on its last leg, as it's been doing a bunch of loud clunking when the compressor turns off. Of course this happens during a pandemic when the supply chain is hurting and hardly anything's in stock and won't be for months!)

Q: QuestionIs the foam supposed to be removed from the air vent at the top of the inside of the refrigerator? It seems like it is blocking the airflow. The freezer is cold after being plugged in for a couple of hours but the refrigerator isn't yet.

• A:Answer Congratulations on your new refrigerator and what an excellent choice! The Styrofoam you see around the controls and vents is not packing material and should not be removed. It is used for insulation and if removed, service will be required to replace it. When starting the refrigerator or changing the temperature, allow for 24 hours until the set point is reached. • A:Answer Hi Melody - Thanks for choosing GE and welcome to the family! Recommended temperatures are 37F in the refrigerator and 0F in the freezer. The numbers on the control do not represent a temperature. The fresh food control regulates how long the compressor runs, and in effect, how cold both compartments can become. Q: QuestionThis spec information says no deli meat drawer it looks like there's a drawer hanging down from the top shelf and it doesn't say there's 2 refrigerator shelf's which it shows photos has so is it 1 shelf in the freezer and 1 shelf in the refrigerator ???

• A:Answer Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us. We hate to hear there's some confusion over the internal set up of this refrigerator and would like to help clarify. This model has two shelves in the fresh food compartment, as well as two bins at the bottom (the top covering the bins can also hold items). There is a drawer hanging from the top shelf that is adjustable and can be moved if you prefer; this is referred to as the snack drawer, which may be why you didn't see it listed. The freezer has one shelf, though items can also be placed on the floor of the freezer compartment. Q: QuestionGTS22KSNRSS is "garage ready" & tested to perform from 38°F - 110°F (Operates fine in this temp. range). What if garage is not insulated and temp. drops below 38°F (goes to 0 or negative °F, or above 110°F)? Does it auto-shut off or has to be turned off?

• A:Answer Greetings, We'll be happy to answer this question! Extreme temperatures outside the temperature range will affect cooling, causing the unit to be less efficient. Below 32 °F, there is no cooling capability at all. At temperatures exceeding 110°F, there is a possibility of the oil overheating and breaking down, thus damaging the compressor or sealed system.
