The freezer in this refrigerator operates between -5 and +8 degrees F. To properly check the temperature, Use a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of measuring below zero degrees. Place the thermometer in between two packages of food that have been in the freezer for more than 24 hours as close to the middle of the freezer as possible and leave it there for at least three minutes. Putting the thermometer in ice cream that has been in the freezer for at least 12 hours is the best way to check the temperature. Ambient temperatures, direct sunlight, door openings, and low food load are all possible causes of a freezer not reaching proper temperatures.
