Hello- Thank you for your purchase. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share this with our engineering and design teams. There isn't a way to add a light in the freezer section. We used to offer an optional icemaker that had a light attached. However, it was discontinued in 2019. You may still be able to purchase this in the secondary market. It is an IM4LED.
