“There is a sticker on the inside that says Warning re cancer and reproductive issues It says to go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov which I did but can't find anything as they don't address brand names. What are the chemicals requiring this label and where?”

Hi Lou - We provide the Proposition 65 warning when a listed chemical is present in any of our GE Appliances, even when there is little or no exposure potential. Over 800 chemicals are on this list-including wood dust, nickel, nicotine, and alcohol-and the mere presence of a chemical does not mean the product presents a health risk to consumers. GE Appliances complies with all federal, state and international requirements regarding hazardous substances. We also voluntarily identify, reduce and eliminate to the extent possible materials of potential concern from our products, even when not required by law. We have established processes to ensure that GE Appliances brand products meet all applicable hazardous substances legal requirements and our own product safety and environmental standards.
