“Does this refrigerator have a 2nd optional ice maker”

Yes, BestBuy sales staff was unaware of this, but after I provided the item # from GE, they were able to set me up. It goes down in the freezer, works great, and I don't think the overall package would workout for me without this, due to the small volume in the included ice maker.

Yes but you have to purchase it separately. Best price I found was abt.com. Order GE Icemaker Accessory Kit IM5D for $89.10 with free shipping. It takes a handy person with a basic tool set to install. Follow the instructions carefully and you can install it in about an hour. It seems like a lot of trouble but it was well worth it. It seems like none of the french door refrigerators produce or store enough ice for 2 people on a hot day.
