What is the top of the unit made of? null

This top is not susceptible to water damage and possible separation of the veneer from the wood top. It is not designed to handle hot pots right off the burner or abrasive cleaners. The manual doesn't say what the top is made of. It looks and feels like solid surface material used for countertops, and is a medium gray color. It's very nice looking.
