“I see a lot about the need for an elbow for the water line. Can someone explain this and why it is needed. I am interested in buying this dishwasher but hesitant due to the comments regarding a difficult install / the water line issue. Any feedback helps”

All dishwashers I have seen in the last 20 years have a 90 degree elbow under the dishwasher to allow the bottom of the dishwasher to be as low as possible to maximize dishwasher interior. As long as the elbow is pre-attached to the water line, it’s easy to install. The connection is near the front of the machine just like most.
