Q: QuestionWe bought a cabinet that has space for an oven and microwave.We bought a GE Oven that fit perfectly in the bottom. we can’t find a microwave that fits top space to match the oven.The space is 25’ 3/4(W) x 15 1/2 (H) x 24 3/4 (L), recommendations?

Usually the different configurations and design changes involving airflow and heat issues, new microwaves are only approved for installation with current trim kits. However your Cafe model CEB1599SJ1SS trim kit is the same as this new model. They both use either JX9152SJSS or JX9153SJSS. We hope this is helpful! Q: QuestionOur old GE Profile microwave died after 17 years. Replaced it with exact same size GE inverter Technology microwave JES2251SJ03. Old trim kit won't accommodate new microwave. Overall opening microwave is in is 16.75" x 25.5". Want stainless trim ktt.

With that said, we're sorry to inform you that your new microwave is actually manufactured for countertop installation only so it's not compatible with a trim kit. If you're interested in a model with built-in capabilities we suggest taking a look at PEB9159SJSS. This microwave has similar dimensions and is stainless steel. You will just need to compare your current cutout space to see if adjustments need to be made. This unit has the following cutout dimensions: 17-1/8" ± 1/8" H x 23-1/4" ± 1/8" W x 22" - 23-1/2" D. Q: QuestionHello, I have a cabinet that has an opening of 23.5(w), 17(h) and 19(d) the entire cabinet dimensions are 30(w), 22(h) and 20(d). Wanted to know which microwave and trim kit would fit this opening and cabinet. Thank you.

It has the following cutout dimensions: 16-3/4" ± 1/8" H x 25-1/2" up to 25-5/8" W x 19"-22" D based on receptacle placement. If you need to make adjustments to your space, we suggest contacting a local cabinet maker. In addition, this microwave is compatible with the following 30" trim kits: JX7230BLTS, JX7230FMDS, JX7230SLSS, JX7230ELES. We hope this helps and we'd love to see you in our GE Appliances family. Q: QuestionI have a 27" trim kit JX9159SJ2SS and the opening height is 12.3 inches. Why it is showing that a microwave that is 13" high will fit this kit?? Your model # PEB9159 is 13" high but I am told that it fit this...How?

• A:Answer Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this trim kit! We regret any confusion over whether this kit will fit model PEB9159, and know this may have caused inconvenience. The number you listed, JX9159SJ2SS, does not appear to have an exact match in our system. However, the trim kit you asked this question on, JX9152SJSS, is indeed a fit for your model. The 12.3" figure refers specifically to the frame opening. Since the microwave fits inside the trim kit for a built in look, the height of the microwave and the trim kit opening may not be an exact match - the trim kit frame will cover a small amount of the microwave's face once it's in place, hence the discrepancy. The overall maximum height of the whole trim kit is 19 1/8", so it is large enough for the microwave. Q: QuestionMy GE Spacemaker JEM31SF01 built in microwave with trim kit just died. Which model can replace this model and which trim kit goes with it. I am very worried about it fitting into the existing space.

Multiple microwaves could potentially be a good replacement for you, but it looks like PEM31SFSS has similar dimensions as your last model. It is built-in capable with two trim kit options, JX827SFSS (for a 27" space) and JX830SFSS (for 30"). If you ever wanted to consider undercabinet hanging, there is also an optional kit for that under JXA019K.
