While decibel ratings are not available for refrigerators, our refrigerators continue to be manufactured with as quiet an operation as possible. We realize the kitchen is a popular gathering place. When the surrounding noise is low, you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound from the high efficiency compressor while it is operating. Also, this model offers popular SECOND ICEMAKER OPTION - Always have extra ice on hand with an optional second icemaker in the freezer (IM5D kit sold separately).
