Hi Rick - The icemaker will make a buzzing sound when it's trying to fill with water. If the buzzing noise can be heard approximately every 15 minutes, check and make sure the water is turned on to the icemaker. This is most likely to occur with a brand new installation or if you have had your household plumbing worked on. Owner's Manual: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/GNE29GSKSS - If house pipes are "banging" when the icemaker is filling, this is a condition called "water hammer". A qualified plumber is needed for assistance. A qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. We encourage you to contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance or conveniently schedule an appointment online: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/service/ - Keep in touch!
