“G&E washing machine wont spin. It is not the lid switch and it drains all the water out nothing stopping the flow,it does make a ticking noise near the control dial where you choice what cycle to use. What could it be?”

I've the same machine for a month. No problems..yet! My last machine (12 yrs old) had the exact same issue you're having tho, which is why I bought a new 1. I did a little research on the issue before buying the new 1. Since the water is draining ok it's not the pump. If you're sure it's not the switch (how do you know?) it could be the clutch or motor. The motor can sometimes spin in 1 direction ok but not the other. Try restarting the cycle with no clothes in it and see if it spins ok. Sometimes a heavy load gets the spin cycle out of sync How old is your washer? Google..."washer drains but doesn't spin" for more info...good luck! Rick
