“Does the agitator speed change with cycle selection?”

• We sent the machine back. Agitator was very noisy and twisted the clothes. Spin cycle caused machine to shake violently with towels or sheets. Much worse than the GE machine we had for 12 years. Would not recommend it.

• Hello RLC - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. This top load washer has a variable speed motor. The variable speed motor adjusts the agitation and spin speeds throughout the cycle based on the cycle selected, the load size, and the amount of torque (resistance) it gets from the load. There is no "fixed" speed for slow or fast speeds. If the washer is loud in the agitation or spin cycles, then most likely the shipping material has not completely been removed. We hope this helps!
