Hi - We're glad you reached back out and apologize for any misunderstanding with regard to the dimensions of this unit and any needed clearances. The dryer is deeper in the rear than the washer. The overhang is 4" past the back panel of the washer, which means it sticks out past the vent, electrical, and plumbing connections. The dryer can sit up against a wall without adding any extra depth to the unit. The overall depth of 30 7/8" includes the overhang. The current dimensional diagram available is not correct and is in the process of being corrected.
