“We just purchased this unit. Every time we select a wash cycle and start it will fill, wash then just sit. We have to open the lid close and press start again to get it to move through cycles (rinse / spin). Is their a step we are missing? Su”

It should be automatic. I’ve never experienced this with my unit.

We appreciate the time you took to reach out to us, though we hate to hear you've had an issue with the washer not automatically going through the full cycle. We know this would be concerning, especially with a new unit. We'd like to assist. It is possible that, if you choose the Soak option, the washer is simply paused while that part of the cycle completes before moving on to Spin. If the washer won't move on to next part of the cycle at all, then depending on your specific model and when it was manufactured, the laundry center may not be completing the wash cycle normally if the washer lid switch isn't properly connecting. If the lid switch doesn't fully connect the lid cannot lock; this will then prevent the unit from going through cycles that require a lock, such as spin mode. You may want to check to make sure the washer top cover where the lid closes is level and not bowed upward. You can also check the rubber bumpers on the washer lid, as well as the tabs. They should be level and not bent, and the bumpers may need to be firmly pressed down to ensure they're properly seated in the tabs. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i JUST BOUGHT THE SAME UNIT, AND IT WOULD JUST FILL LOW AND WASH, THEN SHUT DOWN. LESS THAN 24 HOURS OLD.! HAD TO CALL A REPAIR MAN. APPARENTLEY THE LID WOULDN;T LOCK, SO IT WOULDN'T CONTINUE WITH THE CYCLES. HE HAD TO ORDER A PART BECAUSE THIS PART WAS BROKEN WHEN HE TOOK THE MACHINE APART. I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FILLING, IF I PUT THE CLOTHES IN FIRST, THE WATER LEVEL IS ALWAYS TOO LOW, SO I HAVE TO WAIT AND PUT IT ON BULKY TO FILL IT UP , THEN PUT THE CLOTHES IN AND CHANGE THE CYCLE TO MEDIUM (LIKE FOOLING IT). I REALLY DON' T LIKE THIS WASHER, SEEMS TO DO WHAT IT WANTS, ITS NOISY AS WELL. THE DRYER IS OK. SORRY I GUESS I'M NOT MUCH HELP.
