  • QuestionMy GE needs to be leveled. What size should the washer/dryer tool wrench be in order to adjust the leveling legs?

    Asked by HandyManWolf.

    • Answer Hey there, and thanks for this great question! We know making sure the unit is level is important, and we're glad to help. The Installation Instructions have a ‘Tools You will Need’ section that specify you would use two 10” adjustable wrenches and an 8” pipe wrench while installing the overall unit. Those Instructions also have details on how to level and stabilize the unit specifically, on page 17. When the appliance is in its final position, you can tilt it forward until the rear legs are off the ground, then set it down gently to allow the rear legs to self adjust. You can screw the front leveling legs up or down to make sure the appliance is level, turn the lock nuts on each leg up toward the base of the unit and make it snug with a wrench. If viewing the Installation Instructions may be helpful, you can do so on our GE website by looking up the model number and going to the product page; there is a link for the Installation Instructions on that page. We hope this information is helpful, and are glad to assist if you have any other concerns or inquiries. We wish you all the best! -Sarah@GEA

  • QuestionGUD27ESPMDG Washer sprays water only twice and then starts washing without filling up the washer with water. Now, Washer won’t even turn on any lights when I press start button, like it’s dead. HELP

    Asked by Latina.

    • Answer Hi Latina -Thanks for reaching out to us! This model has Precise Fill load size option. Precise Fill allows the washer to determine the optimum water required to wash the items in the basket. It will spray some water, and the basket will then spin up and coast down several times to sense the load. The lid must be closed to continue filling when Precise Fill is selected. If the lid is opened during Precise Fill cycle, the cycle will pause and the Status lights will blink. To resume the cycle, close the lid and press Start. See pages 8-9 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90581-3.pdf - If the washer does not start, reset the electronics by unplugging the washer, wait 2 minutes, plug back in and press Start. For reference, see page 18 of the Owner's Manual - Troubleshooting Tips- "Washer won’t operate". For further assistance we encourage you to contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 or conveniently schedule an appointment online at GEAppliances.com/service - Keep in touch. We are always eager to help! Sue
