Hi Barb - Thanks for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear of the "grease" marks. Black marks on clothing may be the result of the item rubbing between the dryer drum and drum slides. This may occur if the dryer drum slides are worn or a felt seal is mispositioned or defective. A qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I thought it was the washer.. they replaced the agitator and drum already under warranty but hasnt resolved problem. And they continue to "find" something wrong wrong with the washer when they come out, so I let them go at it until the costs add up to the price for the machine, which will be soon at this rate. I finally googled black marks and found your question, and now suspect its the dryer. Sure enough, I found a video where there is a gap around the inner dryer. I stuck a cloth in the gap and wiped around it and there were the greasy spots on it. Sheets are the most notable for this marking. My washer has practically been rebuilt and now the panels are loose from constant repairs. What a disappointment. I will keep calling til they replace it or give me credit towards a new one,

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem with GE unit. Tech came out about 5 times, could have supplied me with a new dryer for that. Finally after really venting to them hard and threatening calls to Sr. management they said they would send me a new unit. Sure enough they delivered and black marks showed up on the new unit. GE produce a total piece of CRAP!. Now looking for another manufacturer, totally disappointed!
