“Pre-soaking ability? You can't stop this machine to soak? Do I understand that there are no longer any machines that allows me to start a load of whites at night, then stop it and let it soak until the next morning, and then continue the wash cycle? I want to go back to a traditional machine with an agitator and soaking ability and it seems as though all the wonderful technology has taken away go old fashioned washing options....”

Sure just don't close the lid until your ready to start washing

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Michelle-this is Sue from GE Appliances. Thanks for your interest! This model features a Pause setting for up to 24 hours. Press START to begin the cycle. Pressing START again will PAUSE the cycle and the Cycle indicator light will blink. To continue the cycle, press START again or close the lid. If machine is paused more than 24 hours, the cycle will be cancelled. Raising the lid will stop agitation or spin action but does not pause the cycle. Thanks for checking with us!
