Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us with your question about convection feature. If you want to just BAKE and item then you press the BAKE pad and use the number pads to select your bake temperature and then press start. You will not be using the convection feature. You also select the oven you want to bake in. The convection mode can only be used in the upper oven only. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA
