Steam clean is intended to clean small spills using water and a lower cleaning temperature than Self-Clean. The steam clean cycle is designed to sufficiently heat the water you will add to the oven bottom at the beginning of the steam clean cycle, so that it increases in temperature and can then condense onto food soils, softening them and making them easier to remove. Once the oven has cooled from use pour 1/2 cup water into the bottom of the oven. Close the door. Press the Steam Clean pad and then press Start. You should not open the door during the 30 minute steam clean as this will decrease the steam clean performance. Wipe out any excess water and any remaining soil.
