This model does have space for the gas connection hookup on the back of the unit. There must be a 2-inch clearance between the back of the unit and the wall. You can find these details, along with additional information about the required spacing and clearances, in the installation guide on page 2. To access it on the Best Buy website, go to the features tab and scroll down to the english version of the guide.
